Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 13, 2026

1. Overview

CommandWatch ("we," "us," or "our") is a security camera monitoring and alerting service operated by Endeavor Advanced Solutions. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights with respect to that information.

By using CommandWatch, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: When an account is created for you by a system administrator, we collect your name, work email address, optional mobile phone number, SMS opt-in preference, quiet-hours preferences, and role within your organization.

Authentication Data: We store a hashed (one-way encrypted) version of your password. We never store passwords in plain text.

Usage Data: We log standard server activity including IP addresses, browser type, pages accessed, and timestamps for security and diagnostic purposes.

Camera & Device Data: CommandWatch connects to your organization's Verkada camera infrastructure via the Verkada API. We collect and display device status data (online/offline state, device names, site assignments) on your behalf. We do not access, store, or transmit camera video footage.

Alert & Notification Data: We store alert history, suppression settings, email notification logs, and (when enabled) SMS delivery metadata needed to operate the alerting service.

Notes: Operational notes entered on camera records are stored and associated with the device and the user who entered them.

3. How We Use Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4. SMS / Text Message Privacy

CommandWatch may send SMS messages only to users who have explicitly opted in and provided a mobile phone number. Opt-in is collected inside the authenticated CommandWatch application (for example, an administrator or user enables the SMS alerts checkbox for an account). The SMS opt-in control is not pre-selected. A public description of the SMS program and opt-in flow is available at https://www.commandwatch.app/sms-opt-in.html.

Message types: device-down / offline alerts, recovery notices when a device returns online, occasional status recaps, and account-related notifications (such as invite or settings confirmations related to SMS).

Message frequency: Message frequency varies and is event-driven. Most users receive messages only when a monitored device changes state or when a scheduled recap is enabled. Volume is low and is not used for advertising or promotional marketing.

Message and data rates may apply. Carrier charges, if any, are your responsibility under your mobile plan.

No mobile number sharing: We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile numbers are used only to deliver CommandWatch service notifications you opted into, and to operate, secure, and support that messaging.

Opt-out: You may stop SMS alerts at any time by disabling SMS opt-in in your CommandWatch account settings / user profile, or by asking your organization administrator to disable SMS for your account. Where supported by the messaging pathway, you may also reply STOP to unsubscribe from SMS and HELP for help. After opting out, we will not send further CommandWatch SMS alerts to that number unless you opt in again.

Quiet hours: Users may configure quiet hours so that non-critical alerts are suppressed overnight according to their preferences.

5. Third-Party Services

Verkada API: CommandWatch communicates with the Verkada platform to retrieve device status on your behalf using API credentials provided by your organization. This integration is subject to Verkada's own terms and privacy policies.

SendGrid (Twilio): Email alerts are delivered through SendGrid. Your email address is transmitted to SendGrid solely to deliver alert notifications. SendGrid does not receive any camera data.

Twilio SMS: When SMS alerts are enabled for your account, your mobile phone number and message content are transmitted to Twilio solely to deliver those service notifications. Twilio does not receive camera video footage. Twilio's processing is subject to Twilio's own terms and privacy policy.

Hosting: CommandWatch is hosted on Render.com infrastructure. Data is stored on servers located in the United States.

6. Data Retention

Account data (including mobile number and SMS opt-in status) is retained for as long as your account is active. Alert history and operational notes are retained for the duration of your organization's subscription. If your organization's account is closed, data is purged within 30 days upon request.

Server access logs are retained for up to 90 days for security monitoring purposes. SMS delivery metadata needed for troubleshooting may be retained for a similar operational window.

7. Security

We take the security of your data seriously. Measures include bcrypt password hashing, JWT-based session tokens, HTTPS-only transmission, and rate limiting on authentication endpoints. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Access & Account Management

CommandWatch accounts are provisioned and managed by your organization's administrator. If you need to update or delete your account information — including your mobile number or SMS preferences — contact your system administrator or update the available settings in CommandWatch. For privacy requests that cannot be resolved through your administrator, contact us directly.

9. Children's Privacy

CommandWatch is an enterprise B2B service intended for use by adult professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. For material changes, we'll notify administrators via email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
